This MaX UC Privacy Policy applies to the MaX UC application (the "UC App") and the MaX Meeting app (the "Meeting App") (together the "Apps") offered by Metaswitch Networks Ltd. ("Metaswitch"). Metaswitch is a global organisation committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

Metaswitch collects and uses non-personal data about the use of the Apps by customers and end-users, and serves as a data processor for personal data provided to us by service providers.

Metaswitch does not act as a data controller of any personal data processed by the Apps for the purposes of the GDPR . The relevant service provider acts as the data controller of all such personal data, and will provide you with a separate privacy policy to explain how and why your personal data will be processed by such service provider.

We process the personal data and traffic data categorised below to investigate issues your service provider reports to Metaswitch about the Apps.

As Metaswitch continues to develop its business, Metaswitch might sell or buy group companies or business units. In such transactions, as well as in the event Metaswitch or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, aggregated/non-personal data related to the Apps will generally be one of the transferred business assets.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we are processing it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or reporting requirements. We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint involving you.

Note, we may be asked to delete any personal data held about you at the instruction of your service provider or at the end of our contractual relationship with your service provider. It is not possible to selectively delete data relating to an end-user of the Metaswitch Apps, so, to the extent we need to delete any personal data please be aware that all such data about you will be deleted.


We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed.

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected data breach and will notify your service provider and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Unfortunately, information transmitted over the internet and stored on your device is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee that your personal data will never be disclosed in a manner inconsistent with this MaX UC Privacy Policy (for example, as the result of unauthorized acts by third parties that violate the law, their contractual obligations to us or this MaX UC Privacy Policy).

We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we were provided it and as instructed by the relevant data controller (i.e. the service provider).

The UC App may also contain links or otherwise enable you to access third party websites and services. Linked websites and other third party websites are not under our control and will have a different privacy policy or may have no privacy policy at all. Your service provider will also have its own privacy policy. We do not accept any responsibility or liability for these privacy policies or any third party websites. Please check the applicable privacy policy, if any, before you submit any personal data to a third party website.

We reserve the right to change the MaX UC Privacy Policy from time to time. We will inform you of these changes by publishing the revised MaX UC Privacy Policy and prominently posting a notice of the change at
